History:Dean is basically your "hero in training" type who saw all the great "Capt America" takes when he has a major villan fight. But to find out that he had powers of his own was about the coolest thing that had ever happened to him ( of course his parents didnt think so) Seeing as he has read comics quite a bit during his teens he adapted to his powers quickly. It's when they were actually put to use is where he finds he still needs help. Still rather reckless and brash, Helix combats the "ne'er do-wells" of NYC and couldnt care less what people think of Mutants(because this hasnt ever really sunk in for him) As far as "hero knowledge" goes, he knows all of what he knows from TV. So he could put out the good guys and bad guys but doesnt know the whole story

Curent News: Helix so far has stayed in the band X-posed and despite the lack of activity of recent he's looking forward to praticing with them again. In the meantime he looks in on the gang at Zero City, making sure the homeless there have what will get them by. With Magneto laying claim to the former slave state of Genosha, Helix has begun to doubt whether or not he can do much good agaisnt the rising tide of anti mutant hysteria

After X-posed collaspe, Dean sought more work as a bassist elsewhere. It took him some time as the NYC jobscene has been tough for him but he recently landed a job in Destiny's Flame

Power Description: Helix's main power is that of some form of plasma generation. When in use it manifests as the DNA helix strung together glowing and radiating around his body powering two main effects. But rather than burn or fry the target, his discharge tends to be concussive and rarely ever lethal. The second effect is to fly at comparable speeds of a civilian automobile.( around 80-120 mph maximum) His use of the power is required to maintain flight (it wraps around him similiar to a sheath) and is quite impossible to concile the affects. So far he has been tested and found that while the sheath does do harm, no real damage is done. His apparent "helix" must be focused from his hands and projected outward to achive any sort of "attacking power"
